Credit scenes are very important in a movie and it can really have an affect on the audience. I reviewed three credit scenes from action movies.
Mad Max: Fury Road immediately establishes the film as an action piece through quick editing, aggressive sound/music, and desert scenes. Bold music shows the chaos of the post apocalyptic world, keeping the audience in tension as the scene progresses. Rather than slowing the pace, the credits function as part of the scene, preparing viewers for a fast paced movie.
Mission Impossible Fallout. In this movie the credit scene was also shown after the opening action scene. The opening credits in this one was fast and entertaining, there was the theme song of the franchise, photos of explosions, guns, and some characters. The speed of this credit scene keeps the fans entertained and excited for the the movie. This sequence also tells you that the movie is an action movie because of all the photos of the weapons. This credit sequence is another great sequence that keeps fans excited.
The Dark Knight does not focus too much on the opening credit scene. This movie focuses more on the action in the opening scene which was the Bank robbery. The title appears for just a quick second. This fast paced approach is connected to the movie as the whole opening scene is fast paced The dark colors show that the movie will be action packed and with criminals hence the black color. This approach is different because it hooks the audience instantly, usually the credits slow down the movie but this approach keeps them wanting more.
