This week in Aice media we did the One Word Editing Project. Once again for the project I partnered with my friend Gavin, our word for the project was Contemplative, which mean that you think before doing something. So our first step was to think of the main idea of our story, and that came to me pretty fast. We'd do our projects about drugs. Now that we had our main topic in hand we moved on to the shots we'd use, and the story behind it, once we had our idea written we moved on to the story board where we made some final tweaks on our rough idea. The next period we began shooting our scenes where we were able to finish quickly and we did not shoot in order thanks to editing. We edited in Adobe in the following class our main technique was the cuts but I think the best part of our project was the match cut of an empty wallet to a homeless person adding even more meaning to what can happen if people use drugs. I feel for the next project we can utilize more editing techniques and maybe have better camera movement.
